Chinese tech brand Meizu has officially launched its AI-driven ecosystem products in the Middle East, marking a significant step in its international expansion strategy.
At a two-day event in Dubai, co-hosted with automotive partner Geely Auto, Meizu introduced a lineup of new products, including smartphones, wearables, and smart car technologies tailored for overseas markets. Among the key highlights were the Meizu 21 series, AI-powered Lucky 08 smartphone, and the StarV line of smart glasses, which now support real-time Arabic translation.
The move is part of Meizu’s broader “Flyme AI ecosystem” strategy aimed at integrating smartphones, XR devices, and smart vehicles into a seamless digital experience. The company’s Flyme Auto smart cockpit OS is already installed in over 910,000 vehicles and is gaining traction globally, particularly in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
With products now available in over 30 countries, Meizu is positioning itself as a serious contender in the global AI hardware and smart ecosystem space. The company claims leadership in China in three key segments: AI smartphones, smart glasses, and smart vehicle integration.
As Meizu scales its presence beyond Asia, the Middle East is being treated as a strategic entry point for further international growth, leveraging its geographic and economic importance as a bridge between markets in Asia, Africa, and Europe.
