The third Fair of the Western International Conference for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT) will be held at the Chongqing International Exhibition Center on May 20-23. Under the motto “Going West and Deliberating the Future”, various events were organized including conferences, exhibitions, debates and competitions.
Conference highlights
The opening ceremony of the WCIFIT will take place on May 21, and on the same day the New International Cooperation Forum of the ICC Land and Maritime Trade Corridor 2021 and the Asia Enterprise of Tomorrow Conference will take place.
As a major WCIFIT event, the 2021 Asia Enterprise of Tomorrow conference will bring together Asian wisdom by inviting attendees to participate in the seminar and share their international perspectives. Guests include politicians from Asian countries, leaders of Fortune 500 companies, famous entrepreneurs, and around 200 guests from academia and the media.
Lee Nak -yon, former prime minister of South Korea , Wang Shi , founder and president of China Vanke Co., Ltd., and Li Lei , vice president of Saudi Basic Industry Corporation, will deliver keynote speeches at the meeting.
In addition, other guests from professional fields will share their views on Asian business development related to five topics, including the challenges and opportunities of Asian development and Chongqing’s potential as an international logistics hub, among others.
Thematic exhibitions
The exhibition will have eight rooms with an area of 110,000 square meters. Colombia , Indonesia and Vietnam will participate as invited countries.
The international pavilion will feature two exhibition areas for international cooperation and Fortune 500 multinational companies. The international cooperation exhibition will follow West China New International Land and Sea Trade Corridor , as well as different concepts of the strip and route. , and will be based on a four-way design that symbolizes the integration and convergence of multimodal transport.
The famous business pavilion will bring together a large number of state and private companies to show their new technologies, products and applications.
Some of the eye-catching names are Suez Group, Hyundai, Ford Motor, COFCO, China Merchants Group, and many other major domestic and foreign companies.
