US contemporary brand Rag & Bone has appointed Stefanie Strack as chief executive.

She will take on the role on 10 September. Co-founder and current chief executive Marcus Wainwright will become chief brand officer on the same date.

Strack has spent the last 14 years at Nike in a variety of operational and business roles, most recently president and general manager of Nike Express Lane, which aims to improve its speed to market. She was previously general manager of Nike Skateboarding.

At Rag & Bone, she will accelerate its direct-to-consumer efforts.

Wainwright said: “Stefanie brings us a wealth of experience in key strategic areas and personifies the Rag & Bone woman. Her coming on board allows me to focus on what I love, which is designing great product and continuing to build the Rag & Bone brand.”
