HeadFirst Global has appointed Edzard Overbeek as its new Group CEO, marking a significant leadership shift as the company accelerates its global expansion. Overbeek steps into the role following the departure of Julia Robertson, who is stepping down after 25 years at the company’s helm.

The move comes as HeadFirst Global strengthens its position as a major player in workforce solutions, following its acquisition of Impellam Group and HeadFirst Group in 2024. With an extensive background in technology and business leadership, Overbeek is set to drive the company’s next phase of growth.

Overbeek, whose career spans leadership roles at Fujitsu, Siemens, and Cisco Systems, brings a wealth of experience in global operations. Most recently, he led HERE Technologies, where he transformed the company into a leading location data and technology platform. His appointment signals HeadFirst Global’s ambition to integrate technology-driven talent solutions into its business model.

“In Edzard, we have a leader with a proven track record in scaling businesses and driving innovation,” HeadFirst Global’s Board said in a statement. “His expertise will be critical as we create a seamless, intelligent workforce ecosystem connecting businesses with top STEM talent.”

Overbeek acknowledged the challenges and opportunities ahead. “HeadFirst Global is redefining workforce solutions, and I am excited to lead this journey,” he said. “In today’s digital era, organizations need outstanding talent to stay competitive. Our technology-driven approach will ensure businesses have access to the best STEM professionals worldwide.”

Robertson, reflecting on her tenure, said she was proud of the company’s achievements and confident in Overbeek’s leadership. She and Overbeek will collaborate in the coming months to ensure a smooth transition as HeadFirst Global moves forward with its ambitious expansion plans.
